To sum it all up: Selina was incredible for a female solo traveller… it was in a great location close to the metro/train and numerous bus stops, with a lovely blend of sociable (due to reputation/pool/bar areas) and relaxing due to quiet times. I was recommended it and it is also lisbons’ top 10 hostels for solo female travellers, and it certainly lived up to it - there were always friendly people around the hang out with. The place was really clean and there are curtains in each bed with allows some privacy even in a shared dorm. Perhaps I was lucky with the other guests in our dorm but everyone was very respectful! It is a little walk away from the really bustling streets of Lisbon’s centre but I preferred this as it was much more peaceful at night, plus there were so many cute brunch places and bars in close vicinity. Overall 10/10 would recommend and visit again!!

Excellent location right in the city center, easily accessible by public transport. The rooms are well lit and comfortable, simply and well furnished. Bathrooms spacious enough with all necessary facilities. Bed very comfortable. Excellent breakfast options, great coffee. The whole establishment very upbeat and well decorated in a trendy, youthful style. The co-working concept is great and it's nice to run into smiling faces all over the place. Lots of different indoor and outdoor spaces to sit at. Plenty of greenery. The best is of course the staff. Smiling, helpful, and very attentive. Restaurants and eateries nearby. Overall excellent experience, very impressed! Congratulations to those who own and run the place!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my three night stay in one of the 6 bed female dormitories. I loved the shared bathroom area in the middle of the two 6 bedrooms. There’s plenty of space to get ready, full mirrors, great hairdryer and the showers were very clean with good quality toiletries. The whole atmosphere of the hostel made it feel like a chilled out hotel/medina. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. A great location that is a ten minute walk from Time Out Market and Cais do Sodré. There’s plenty of quirky little restaurants and bars in the area. I will definitely stay here again.

Super comfortable beds, a beautiful view from the window, access to the pool and the coworking area (it's 10 euros per day, but it was very comfy and had a designated meeting area. The location can't be better, only 10-minute walk from most attractions in Baixa, Chiado and Cais de Sodre! The kitchen was kept nice and clean during our stay, and the same with the bathrooms - next time, I will pick a room with an en-suite bathroom just for the sake of convenience, but I was amazed with how clean they were every single time I went to the toilet, it was super clean.

Selina is a lovely place to stay either you travel alone, with friends or family. We stayed in a private room, one night in January and five nights in February. Both visits have been very pleasant, nice clean rooms, comfortable bed with fluffy pillows and quality bedding. Extra plus for the central heating witch is not so common in Lisbon. It’s a fun place where you can chat and meet with other travelers in the kitchen or in the wonderful outdoor areas. Very cozy and well decorated - a hidden gem in a great location!
